- My instruments (and their names) are: 1968 Fender Stratocaster (Myrna), 1981 Strings & Things Custom Strat (Blue), 1982 Takamine mahogany acoustic/electric (Tak), 1991 Fender Double Fat Strat (Pearl), 1992 Rickenbacker 360-12 (Rick), 1998 Hamer Rick Nielsen Signature Explorer (Honey Pie), 1962 Fender Musicmaster (Plank), 1965 Hagstrom II (Olaf).
- My favorite bands are: The Beatles, Steely Dan, Queen, Three Dog Night (the world’s greatest cover band).
- I decided to become a professional musician after seeing The Beatles on Ed Sullivan in 1964.
- My family includes: Wife, Kim; daughters Kaitlyn, Amy and Meredith; Granddaughters Camille and Hannah; grandson, Hayden.
- My pets are: faithful dawgs, Bosco (male Border Collie, full name Osco Bosco Leeno Bozo) and Pepper (female Australian Shepherd, nickname Beeoch).
- I am Realtor in "real life" (wanna buy a house?).
- My favorite food is Pizza. My favorite drinks are Diet Coke (soft) / Red Wine (not so soft).
- Something most people don’t know about me: I had artwork on national tour when I was seven. I was valedictorian of my 6th grade class.
- The most interesting people I have met: Personal: My wife, Kim. Music: James Brown/Dale Hawkins. Politics: JFK.
- I have jammed with, or played onstage or in the studio with: Styx, Joe Walsh, Vince Gill, 38 Special, Reba McEntire.
- My favorite colors are: Red, Black, Green.
- My favorite comedians are Jonathan Winters/Jackie Gleason (old school), John Candy/Dan Ackroyd (not so old school).
- Personal note: I have been blessed with a loving wife, kids, grandkids and dawgs. Fortunately I have some limited degree of musical ability, without which I could not survive. These loves of my life have allowed me to manifest the many facets of my seriously disturbed personality.
